America, I have a question

Watching "The Patriot," a line was said that i think should be asked of all of us.

When the order was sent out declaring slaves be granted their freedom after one year of military service during the war, a white soldier turns to a negro soldier and snidely remarks, "What are you going to do with freedom?"

So, I ask all American citizens; What are you going to do with freedom?
